A touch of fun stuff from the family photo drawer.
Kenneth J. Evans and his brother, Gerald.
The
chicken coop on the Evans farm was next to the house. Grandma, Gena,
tended the chickens. She gathered eggs for sale to Mankato grocery
stores. This picture would have been taken a generation after the
one above when Denn was the age of his father in the upper photo.
In
the 1950's, Ken and his buddys often caught catfish on the Minnesota river
behind his parent's farm near Garden City. This is a normal stringer.
They would spend a morning skinning the fish. The guys had fish for
many meals after one of these outings.
Brother,
Harold, in the 1970's looks like he could have been a dancer in Grease.
He is a violinist.
