Evangelism / Social Ministry Committee Profile Study I. The mission of the Evangelism/Social Ministry of Augustana Lutheran church is: We intend to learn hospitality toward strangers who are seeking faith as we are. As companions on the journey, we learn discipleship. We intend to serve our community, as a congregation and in our work, our homes, and our involvement in community organizations. We strive to go out into our community to serve others and share God's word. II. The Ministry of the Evangelism/Social Ministry: We have a committee in place to serve Augustana in Evangelism and Social Ministry. This committee is available but has not been terribly active and needs guidance. Augustana Thrivent Profile Study I. The mission of the Thrivent Ministry of Augustana Lutheran Church is: Thrivent members at Augustana work together to provide matching funds for those in need and church organization missions. II. The Ministry of Thrivent: Thrivent Financial for Lutherans offers a wide variety of financial products from insurance and annuities to investments. Members strive to protect and provide for their families. Giving back to their congregations and communities is a vital part of the organization.
