Endowment Committee Profile Study Augustana Lutheran Church Endowment Fund The Augustana Endowment Fund began on June 25, 2001 upon receiving a memorial of $ 17,536.00. This memorial was so graciously given to the endowment fund by the Delmar Peterson family in memory of Delmar. This donation will continue the stewardship mission that Delmar worked so hard for and will continue long into the future To increase the balance in the endowment fund, the Peterson family with the help of the endowment committee, sponsors an annual banquet chicken dinner. This dinner is held every year in the month of June. Over the past three years the banquet has increased the fund balance by $3,003.00. In addition to the annual banquet proceeds, a number of Augustana members have contributed another $443.56. Today the endowment fund has a total value of $20,982 56. Interest to date generated by the endowment fund totals $1,872.31. A total amount of $l,841.49 has been distributed between vacation bible school, bible camp, Synod missions and other worthwhile causes in the name of Augustana. A balance of $30.82 remains in a passbook savings account at this time. Stewardship Committee Profile Study The Stewardship programs at Augustana include the following: - Observance of Stewardship Sunday in the Fall - Temple Talks during Worship - Confidential Pledging - Encouragement of members to increase giving by one percent - New Addition Pledging / Three Year Commitment - Small Group Meetings to discuss the Building and Stewardship Program - Every Member home visits
