Welcome!

Augustana is in a little prairie town about two hours southwest from the Twin Cities, on Highway 19 and Sibley County 2.
When you get to Gibbon, take the main street (First Avenue) south through town. (Did you see the Courthouse?)
Near the south edge of town, look for 7^th Street. (There's a green sign for Augustana on the corner.)
Go west on 7^th Street three blocks to Cedar. You'll see the church to your right.
The parking lot is on the north side of the church. We have spaces reserved for visitors near the steps.

We work in partnership with the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, together with over ten thousand other worshipping communities, sharing a journey of faith and serving our communities. Through this partnership we also help support disaster relief, world hunger relief, counseling services, schools, camps and retreat centers, missionaries, and military chaplains. The ELCA is connected with Lutherans throughout the world, and is actively working toward closer ties with other Christian groups.

Closer to home, we are partners with the Southwestern Minnesota Synod, two hundred and eighty churches ELCA churches serving God in southwest Minnesota.

We believe that God has come to us in Jesus, whose cross and rising broke the power of death.
We believe that the power of God is at work now, when people are changed by the message of Jesus.
We believe that Christian communities share that hope and that power, as we learn to trust God and love each other.

We intend to learn hospitality toward strangers who are seeking faith as we are. As companions on the journey, we learn discipleship.
We intend to serve our community, as a congregation and in our work, our homes, and our involvement in community organizations.
We gather to hear God's message, share baptism and holy communion, and pray. We go out into our community to serve others in our daily lives.
