Your Identity

What should I have on my Identity card?   Does it matter?   Does anyone read it?

   In Vanilla (non-D/s) rooms ID cards or "Bios" often go ignored.   Here, others are interested in who you are and in your preferences.   If your ID is mostly blank they may conclude that you are not a serious D/s participant.

   It is important that your ID tell:

  • your chosen role (Dom/me or sub);
  • the name of your Master or Protector;
  • restrictions on IM's
Here's about how my card looked, way back in my sub days:

It's a good idea to get important D/s info onto the first page. The second page takes time to come up, so some may not bother.

   The Name slot can be used for additional info: "Gray's kyla" would have indicated that I had a Master.

    The Location slot often contains a Master's Name ("In Sir Handsome's arms") or that of a Protector or Trainer.

    The Email line is the usual place for your preference regarding IMs.

   I recommend something like the message on my card, above, and require it for my trainees.  It saves you from a lot of flack, and if you get an IM you then know it's not from a real Dom/me, and can deal with it accordingly.

Is there anything that has to go on the second page?

  Anything important you didn't get on page 1.   LOL.

  You probably made your sub role clear on the first page, but it doesn't hurt to include it clear under Gender: "m/sub" or "submissive female" or the like.

    Then fill in the rest, with some thought.   Folks do read IDs here, so show that you want them to know about you.
