How must I behave? Am I making a fool of myself? What are the rules here? And what will happen if I foul up?
To answer the last question first: relax -- you will not get hung from a suspension frame. At worst, someone will correct you. When that happens, if it's a Dom or Domme, say, "sorry Sir (or Ma'am), and thank you." Nothing requires that you say that, or follow any of the local customs. D/s emphasizes consent -- each participant respects the community and its customs, and consents to follow them. |

Politeness, and respect for each person in the role s/he has chosen, is the first rule. |
| In what follows we will cover several aspects of room etiquette: Manners are important. They reflect on you, and when you have taken a Master or a Protector or Trainer they reflect on that person also. But don't get uptight about them. No one behaves perfectly all the time. Correct really bad booboos, and apologize if necessary. |
| The word "Sorry" is the best social lubricant around. |
