Things to Read

Yes, there really is a lot
to learn about the D/s life.

You'll find, as you explore these links, lots about the Lifestyle.     One subject you will not find discussed at all adequately is D/s here in Virtual Places.   So far as I know this site, Kyla's Guidelines, is the only place for that.*

TheCastle Realm D/s Resource Center Library is the most widely recommended source for reading material.   There you will find:

  • subSpace Resources for submissives, recommended by experienced subs.

  • Lord Colm and jade on Contracts
and much more.

HyPerDiMenSioN has provided, on the two sites below, an excellent set of references, as well as good advice and some great stories. These rooms are also chat spaces, but Read The Rules.
  • HypeRoom   Stories, and a schedule of stories to come.

  • Dom/me Space   This is a training and information site for new Doms and Dommes, but subs are welcome.   The links here are excellent for newbies, Dom/me and sub alike.

LucyLastic has provided an extensive list, Lashes of Links.   It includes links to readings, D/s chat and other rooms, and AV shops.   Some of them are dead ends, however, and a few have "booby traps", defective java links that you can't excape from without closing down VP.

Di. aka mystDi is building an excellent site, SafeHaven.    At present there are lots of sections "in progress", but it's well worth a visit.   When it's done it may be the best D/s information place anywhere.

I highly recommend the The Retreat's Library of D/s for a variety of reading, and other linked rooms.

Another good list of readings is posted in Safe for New Subs

If you read much, some of it may appear to be contradictory.   If that's the way it seems, it isn't you.   D/s has lots of flavors and standards.
