The Mountains

First, buy a Bomb Bag at the Bomb Shop in West Clocktown if you don't have one already. Leave Clocktown, through the North Gate. In Northern Termina, you will find Dodongos, who are defeated by slashing their tails. Fighting them will take a while so just pass them. Do not get to close to the wall of ice or you'll freeze. In order to get to the Mountains, go near the ice wall and take out your bow. Fire two arrows at the huge icicle above it. The icicle will fall, shattering the ice wall and letting you pass.

Keep on going straight, you might need to blow up some huge snowboulders along the way. You'll also have to fight some Tektites that will just pop up from the snow. Soon enough, you will reach the Mountain Village. Look for an owl statue and slash it with your sword. Inside the house, you'll meet Gagora and Zubora, who you should deal with them later, and a Hungry Goron, who you can help later on. Go through the path behind the Mountain Smithy Shop. You have to fight a Tekitite and some White Wolfos. Plus Tingle's there so buy a map from him.

When you get to the Goron Village, get close to the owl. He'll fly over to the chasm, and some feathers of his will fall off and mysteriously float in mid-air. But there is more that meets the eye. Jump where the feathers are and you'll soon reach the Lone Peak Shrine. Inside you'll find the Lens of Truth. Go back outside and use the Lens of Truth to see the ivisible platforms. When you get back onto land, use the Lens of Truth on the the circular shadow. It reveals to be a Goron ghost.

The ghost, Darmani, will lead you to his grave so use the Lens of Truth to follow him. Since the Lens of Truth drains magic, refil your Magic Meter by slicing small snowballs with your sword. Damani will soon take you to a stream near the Mountain Smithy. Turn on the Deku Mask and hop to the other side. Use the Lens of Truth again to see a huge ladder on the wall. Find your way to the top and go inside.

Darmani will tell you that he was a Goron hero who went to Snowhead to investigate the freezing winds from Snowhead. But he had failed and he needs to have his suffering healed. Play the Song of healing for him. You will receive the Goron Mask, inhabiting the body of Darmani.

Go back to the Goron Village, and go to the bottom level. When you see the door to the Goron Shrine, get near the door, curl up with "A", and hit "B" to pound, opening the door. Inside you will hear a very loud crying. The source of the crying is a Goron baby who misses his father, the Goron Elder. The Goron can be found in the bridge area on Day 1 and Day 2 (Tatl will grow green to show you which snowball the Elder's in) and on Day 3 the Elder is near the stream in front of the Mountain Smithy.

First, find where the Goron Elder is and go to Darmani's Grave. Push Darmani's grave to unclog the hot spring. Bottle some hot water and rush before it cools off. If it's the Day 1 or Day 2, take the hot water and dump in on the ice after the second bridge. In there is some more hot water. If it's the Final Day, get hot water from the grave and take that hot water to the Goron Elder who is close by. Once the Goron Elder is unfrozen, talk to him as a Goron and if you have already talken to the Goron baby, he will teach you the Goron Lullaby Intro. Go back to the Goron shrine, and play the song for the baby. The baby will teach the rest of the song before the melody puts him to sleep.

Snowhead

Go back to the Mountain Village and take the path across the frozen wooden bridge. In order to get through this path, you must curl up and be at full speed. When at full speed, spikes will come out of your Goron body. Jump ramp to ramp, dodging snow boulders. At the end, slash the Owl statue. You'll notice the winds are getting stronger. Use the Lens of Truth to find the source of the winds is by a huge, invisible Goron. Play the Goron Lullaby to lay the giant goron to rest, allowing you to pass. The fairy fountain is found at the base of Snowhead Temple. To get to Snowhead Temple, travel the spiral path, with even more snow boulders. Simply use a Goron punch to get rid of them. At the top you'll find the next temple. Save now...

The Great Fairy's Gift: Doubled Magic Meter (a must get)

After Defeating Goht

With Goht defeated, you have freed another of the mysterious creatures. Springtime will arrive to the mountains and everything is green and growing again. First, save, because the next process will need those three days. After you go back to Day 1, defeat Goht once more, and go to the Goron Village. Go inside the cave to meet another huge Goron. Talk to him to receive a timed Powder Keg. Take this up the hills and next to a boulder in the bridge area to compete in the Goron races. Win Gold Dust as first prize and go to the Mountain Smithy. Pay 100 rupees to get your Kokiri Sword upgraded into a Razor Sword, which will break after 100 hits. Avoid this by (after getting the Kokiri Sword upgraded) warping to the Dawn of the Second Day and give them the Gold Dust to upgrade the Razor Sword into a Glided Sword. This sword will not break and is 3 times stronger than the Kokiri Sword.

Save now and since you've now mastered using Powder Kegs, go to West Clocktown and buy one from the Goron in the Bomb Shop. For the next process, it must be the First Day.

Romani Ranch

So what are you going to do with the Powder Keg? Recall a huge boulder...Like the one in Milk Road. Milk Road can be found southwest of Clocktown. Near the entrance run past the bird, forget fighting it now. Slash the Owl if you haven't already. Take a Powder Keg to that boulder a blow it up. Go down the uncovered path into Romani Ranch. Follow the path and you find...Epona! The little girl, Romani has been taking care of her. Talk to Romani and see will tell you she's practicing for tonight...Unknown creatureds have been abducting the cows.

In order to retrieve Epona, play her little mini-game by popping all the ghost looking balloons. When she sees that you and Epona she will teach you Epona's Song, which can call Epona if you're anywhere in Termina Field. While you're waiting for night, go in the shack with pictures of Cuccos/Chickens on it. If you have the Breman Mask, use it to gather up all the chicks together. Once that's done, you will receive the Bunny Hood, which will be VERY USEFUL on your journey. In another shack, you can bet on a Dog for the Dog Races. In order to win you need the Mask of Truth.

Before the UFOs arrive, go to the Gorman Track. Take the other path at Milk Road to get there. While on Epona, talk to them. They'll challenge you for a race. Try to block them at the start and jump fences instead of going around them. Your prize will be the Garo's Mask, this is needed for later on.

When the UFOs arrive, slow down time and wear the Bunny Hood. Shoot any UFOs close to the barn and keep this in mind, one UFO in the back will immeadiately reappear after you've shot it. But since time is slowed down, the UFOs will go slow as well. After that's done, you can help Cremina keep away robbers to earn the Romani's Mask.

You don't have to complete Romani's and Cremina's Notebook entry just yet. You have Epona, so save and warp back to the first day and exit Clocktown through the Western gate. You'll need Epona to jump the fences in order to reach you're next destination.
