Southern Swamp
Leaving Clocktown, just continue straight. When you reach a tree, you will see a picture
of the Skull Kid. Tatl will be reminded of the first time her and her brother, Tael, met
the Skull Kid. They found the Skull Kid alone and cold. After that's over, continue on.
Keep on heading straight and you might want to get that Heart Piece in the tree. You'll
find Tingle on the way so buy a map from him. Soon you'll reach a new area and to your
right is an Owl Statue. Slash it and go in the Tourist Information building. Talk to the
man there to get the Pictograph and you will also learn that the Boat Cruise is down due
to the disappearance of Koume.
Swim down the left section and take the first left. Go through the small path to find a
building similar to Tourist Information. Inside you'll find Kotake in there if it's Day 1.
But if it's Day 2 or Day 3, she'll be hovering above the Woods of Mystery. Then go out and
find a tunnel and go inside. Follow the monkey there and avoid the Snappers (turles).
You'll find Koume, who is beaten. So exit the Woods of Mystery and go back to Kotake's
Potion Shop. Talk to her to get a free Red Potion. DO NOT DRINK IT. Go back to the Woods
and find Koume again. DO NOT HIT "C" YET. Talk to her and she will ask for
something to heal her. Now give her the Red Potion. Now revived, Koume will fly back to
her Toursit Information.
Exit, but this time the monkeys will stop you. They will tell you that they need you to
rescue their brother. Go back to Tourist Information and talk to Koume. She will give you
a boat ride. Don't take a picture with the Pictograph yet. Disembark at the Deku Palace
and walk inside. Turn into a Deku Scrub to get pass the guards. Go staright ahead and talk
to the Dekus there. You will learn that the monkey is getting punished for deku-napping
the princess.
Leave the throne room. The doors on the sides lead to the Inner Palace Garden. The one to
the right (from the throne room), contains a heart piece in there. The one to the left, is
where you need to go. Without letting the Deku guards see you (you can see their line of
sight if it's night) fall into the hole. Grab some water in a bottle then buy Magic Beans
from the man down there. Go back to entrance of the Deku Palace and hop to the right side
of the Palace. Plant the magic bean in the soil and water it. Ride the leaf to the top and
go through the upper part of the Inner Palace Garden. It is tricky but don't give up!
You'll soon reach the area where the monkey is locked up. Talk to him and pull out your
horns. You will learn the Sonata of Awakening. You will get caught and be thrown out of
the palace. Facing the Deku Palace, look to the right. Hop about two lillypads to see a
flower. Use it to go through path. Fly from flower to flower, and be cautious of the two
Dragonflies there. You'll soon reach a platform next to the waterfall. You will see
Kaepora Gaebora the owl. Read the inscription to learn the Song of Soaring. It will warp
you to an owl statue you've slashed.
Woodfall
Fly over to the platform across the one where you saw the owl and go through the cave. You
will reach Woodfall. Stay as a Deku because if you fall, the poisonous water will kill
you. Hop over to bridges and Z-Target the bubble blast the Hiploop (inscets) and simply
spin attack the Mad Scrubs. Continue this until you reach a huge platform, the Deku Altar.
Turn back to normal and hit the Owl Statue there. Also get the fairy in on of the pots.
And you may notice another cave behind the altar. Use the Deku flower to fly there and see
the shattered Great Fairy. The faries will tell you that the other 15 faries are lost in
the temple. (It's better doing this after you beat the temple.) Turn back into a Deku and
play the Sonata of Awakening on the ciruclar platform. Woodfall Temple will arise from the
waters. Use the flower to fly there and step inside. Feel free to save the game now.
Woodfall Temple
First, don't fall off the platforms in this room. Down in the dark floor are small ghosts
called Black Boes, that will completely surround you so try not to fall off. If you do,
there is a ladder that will get you back up. Use the flower to fly from to the platfrom.
Then fly over to platform across from there. Then fly over to the next platform but when
you do, go through the middle because the are Skulltulas on the left and right sides. In
the next room, stay as a Deku because the water is poisonous. You will find a big flower
in this room which will needed later. Also, if you fall into those flowers as normal
Link...you'll get eaten...So as Deku fall down to the right side of where you entered,
then hop to the next platform. And go through the door.
In this room, hop to flower in the center of the room and open the chest to get a key.
Then hop back (you can safely stand on the flowers as a Deku) and use the flower to fly to
the door across from where you entered. In there you will find Snappers. Kill them by
getting there attention and hopping into the flowers. While in the flower, when they are
right above the flower pop up to kill them. Once they're dead you will get the Dungeon
Map. Go back to the room with the big flower and hopping to the platform across the room
using the flowers. Get a few Deku Sticks by killing the Deku Baba that is located on the
same platform where you first entered this room. Go into the next room and push the block
forward. Then go to the right side of the room and kill the Skulltula. From there push the
block foward in two pushes. Go back to where the Skulltula was and turn back into Link.
Light a Deku Stick (be careful of those moths that like fire, if they touch you, you'll
get hit and most likely fall into the posionous water) and carefully run to the left side
of this room where a torch is. Lighting this torach will open a door.
Inside this room, kill the Dragonflies using the Deku's bubble attack to get the Compasss.
Go back and light a Deku Stick, run up the stairs to light the next torch. Light another
Deku Stick, and leap from platform to platform to burn the spideweb. When you get to a
dark tunnel, Tatl will warn you about an evil presence. Turn into a Deku and spin attack
the whole way to kill the Black Boes. Keep on doing this until a chest appears in the
middle of the room, so they're all dead. Inside is a fairy. Then light a Deku Stick and
run around the circular area of this room lighting the three torches. In the next room,
try to shoot down the Dragonflies and fly from flower to flower. If you fall, you might
fall through a hole in the floor, but if you're lucky, you are able to go back up the
stairs to try again. Reach the end of this room and go downstairs. You'll end up in the
upper level of the big flower room.
Step on the switch as normal Link and a ladder will appear. First, go through a door on
this level to find yourself in the room where you found the first key. Go through the
other door to fight a Lizafols. Simply hit it with your sword and avoid it's fire attack.
Your prize is the Hero's Bow. Exit this room and look direclty ahead of you. You will see
an eye. Shoot the eye with your bow and the Deku Flower in the middle of the room will
rise and fall. Use it fly to the platform across from you. Inside tihs room, you will
fight the Mad Gekko and the Snapper. Hit the Gekko and it will call out his friend. Turn
into a Deku and dive into a flower. When the Snapper passes, pop out and the Gekko will
escape to the ceiling. Turn back to normal and shoot the Gekko with your bow. Once you've
hit it, it will go back on the Snapper and you must repeat the process. Once it's defeated
a door will open and you will receive the Boss Key.
Go back to the big flower room and look for a torch. Aim an arrow through the flame to
light the small torch on the flower. Once lit, the water will become unpoisoned and the
flower will rise and spin. Go through the door you haven't been through yet. In this room,
use the platforms to the right and when you get to the top shoot the crystal switch with
an arrow, turn back into a Deku, fly to the the flower that has been uncovered, then fly
to door that leads to the boss room.
Masked Jungle Warrior ODOLWA
Common sense to stay away from Odolwa's huge sword. Z-Target, and try to catch him off
guard so you can shoot an arrow at him while he doesn't have his sheild up. After you've
shoot him with an arrow, run up to him and attack him with your sword. After he gets a few
more hits he'll call on his insects to chase you. Pick up a Bomb Flower which can be found
around the room and throw it. The insects will follow and get blown up, but be careful of
Odolwa will you're doing this because he might you a Spin Attack on you. If you run out of
arrows, try to use the Bomb Flowers.
Woodfall Fairies
NOTE: Don't try this yet. Find the faires after you've cleared up everything at Deku
Palace and saved the game. Also use the Great Fairy's Mask to attract fairies you cannot
reach.)

that flower to fly to left pillar with the fairy.
The Great Fairy's Gift: A new and improved, Spin Attack
After Defeating Odolwa
With Odolwa defeated you have freed a mysterious creature. This strange being will teach a
new song, Oath to Order. This song is needed much later in your journey.
Also, the waters around Woodfall and the Deku Palace have now been purified, but they will
be posionous again if you play the Song of Time and warp back to the first day.
You will be taken to exit of Woodfall but you hear something rustling behind you. Slash
the vines with your sword to reveal the Deku Princess. She can prove that the monkey is
innocent by taking her to her father. You can't carry her like Princess Ruto in Ocarina of
Time, so you carry her by...putting her into a bottle...
So anyway, go back to the Deku Palace and walk infront of the King and unbottle the
princess. She'll convince him (in her own unique way) that the monkey is wrongfully
accused. The Deku Butler, will give you a reward for your heroism, which you'll find in
the Deku Cave. The cave is to the left side of the Deku Palace. Go for the prize if you
have the Bunny Hood. If not, go when you do.
Now save and get ready for the next part of your adventure
