 Welcome to a hike in the dune country on the eastern shore of Lake Michigan,
as captured by the brush of Harry Drake Thompson. The artist, a botanist and lover of the dunes, sought to record the constant struggle between trees and wind, to control the ever-moving sands.

 Have a pleasant stroll, picnic if you like but please don't litter, and empty the sand from your shoes at the end of the trail.
