Camp Akela is a Scout Owned Camp on Lake Byllesby by Cannon Falls, MN.

Cubs sleep in wall tents which are set up on wooden platforms - 3 tents to a platform. Two folding cots are set up in each tent.
There is a full program of crafts and activities for the cubs which ensures they will sleep well that night.

3 Tents on a platform ( Cuts down on the mud on a rainy day !)
.... Each platform also has a picnic table.
Dining Hall
.........Meals are served in a Huge Dining Hall. Fruits, Milk and Coffee are available 24 hours a day.

..... Some kind of sour candy,,,your Cub knows what it is....
Campers gathering for Flag Raising
.....Not everyone is awake, but ya gotta do it to show respect to the flag.

..... After a course on rifle safety, the Cubs practice their shooting skills.


Firebuilding
..... Hands on training in the right ways to make a fire. Fire safety stressed.
Boating
..... Rowboats for non swimmmers, canoes for swimmers.
Baby Bagheera
..... Baby Bagheera was hiding somewhere in Camp Akela Sunday Morning. Just under a thousand cubs were searching...A Cub from Pack 328 found Baby Bagheera and brought him home !
