Gameshark
Normal Game Cheats
Some of them I'm not sure if they work but I'm putting them up for pokémon
trainers to view. Either a rumor, only works in the Japanese version or does work.
Get Missingo
Ok, Missingo is a 'glitch' that screws up your game. Low defense but high
attack. This is what you have to do. Go to Viridian City and talk to the
guy who shows you how to catch a Weedle. Then FLY to Cinnabar Island and
SURF along the eastern coast until you run into a pokemon that looks like a
buch of dots. The name is somehow screwed up and looks something like this:
' M' .That's Missingo. I think Missingo screws up your pokemon league via
pc and may do worse things.
Get Myuu
Ok, most people say Myuu is Mew in Japanese. I'm not to sure but in the
game, Myuu is a BAD glitch. But you can get it by SURFing in the entrance
of Seafoam Islands for a really long time. WARNING: Myuu can definetly
screw up your game. If you catch it by accident, go to your Via PC and
relese it as quickly as you can.
99 of Each Item
Put the item you want to be multiplyed at the 6th slot of your list. Then
do the Missingo trick above. But instead of catching Missingo, faint him or
run away. After that, look at the 6th item and it should have a strange
symbol thing as a 9 and it's 99 of that item!
Fight Safari Zone Pokémon Elsewhere
Go into the Safari Zone and run into the pokémon you want or walk around
the area of where the pokémon you want is found. Then walk around and waist
time or try to capture it. Once time has run out quickly SURF from Fuchsia
to Seafoam Islands and SURF along the coast line whick looks like you're on
land but you're still in the water. You should find the pokémon you want
from seconds to minutes.
Game Corner Money
In the game corner in Celadon City, go to the 3rd shelf in the upper right
hand corner closest to the guy who sells coins to you, and get 100 coinds.
Then go around the game corner tapping A continuously and you find coins! I
got over 200 coins for free!
Get Mew
But the Magikarp from the guy who sells it to you in Mt. Moon and bring it
to the daycare center and raise it to L:50. Get it back and it'll turn into
Mew! (Japanese)
Japanese Version- Gew Mew- get all 150 pokémon and talk to the guy in the
Celadon Mansion who says to come back to him once your pokédex in finished.
He'll give you Mew. Or you can try the S. S. Anne cheat.
Pokémon L:100 and Up
Do the Missingo cheat and you'll find a lot of pokémon over L:100.
Get Dimonix
Raise your Onix to level 60 then trade with a friend a couple times. What?
Onix is evolving!
Get Electrichu
Take a Raichu and trade with a friend about 5 times. Take a Thunder Stone
and you'll be able to use it on your Raichu.
Get Flareth
I don't know if this works because I haven't had the chance to try it but
go to the girl in the Celadon Dept. Store. I think it's the one at the top
level who says that she is thirsty. Or, if you have time, try anyone in the
Celadon Dept. store and maybe Email me if it works. Keep offering her a
drink like 30 times even though she resists. Or keep talking to that
person. Then it'll say, "go away" and will give you Flareth!
Green Pikachu
Catch a Pikachu and go to the namerater and rename it Pikachan. I don't think this works.
Another Chance to get the Legendary birds
I'm not sure about this but I think if you by accidently faint all the legendary birds but capture mewtwo, you can get the legendary birds agian.
Get Your Pokémon to L:100
Go into your items and press select on the 7th item from the top. Then go into some grass and get into a battle, the pokémon you want at L:100 you should have come out first. Now when you fight, press selecton the last abitllity of that pokemon and it should disappear. Now faint the pokémon you're fighting and your pokémon will be L:100 or near it!
Mew Island
Get all 150 pokémon then go talk to Mr. Phychic and he'll transport you to Mew Island.
Get All 150 Pokémon Instantly
I'm not sure if this is true because it sounds so easy. But if you want to know it, here it is: When you open the game and the boy has a pokéball and pokémon are coming by, when a Flareon pops up, as fast as you can press left, left, right, right, down, down, up, up and A.
Get Some Secret Pokémon
First, go to the exchange corner in Celadon City and use the itemfinder 10 times in different places. Then talk to the bald guy and he'll say what he always says, so you use itemfinder once more as far right as you can and it should respond.
How to get to a new city
Get all 150 pokémon, get your diploma at Celadon City, fly to Pallet Town and talk to Professor Oak 20 times and he will lead you to a hole in the wall that will lead to some strange city but I do not know what it is called. Good luck for it to work for you.
HOW TO GET MEW (this code absolutely works)
First trade over a cut pokemon. Then beat the game without boarding S.S. Anne. Then get 150 pokemon. Go pass the guard to the boat and swim to the right and you will see a pick up truck. Use strength to push the truck and you will see Mew waiting there in a pokeball.
Duplicate Pokémon!
- This could seriously mess up your game and it may not work, so use with caution: Here is a code that you can use to duplicate Pokémon! Set up a trade with the Pokémon that you want to be multiplied and any other Pokémon. That other Pokémon will be erased. Say I wanted to multiply Articuno, I would set up a trade with someone and trade them my Articuno. They would trade my anything that they didn't want. Near the end of the trade It says: Waiting... and Trade Complete! When it says Waiting... get ready as soon as it disappears off that screen shut the gameboy off that is trading the one to be multiplied. The other game will say Trade Complete! Shut that GB off. Both People will now have that Pokémon!
Fishing Catch Rate
- Use the SUPER ROD, and when it says "Ash used SUPER ROD", turn the pad clockwise really fast. It works 95% of the time. MissingNo. Another Useless Cheat - This cheat has been confirmed to mess up saved games. Players have had to restart their games and lost all their saved info. First, go anywhere where you can trade Pokémon with a computer trainer. The best place is Cinnabar Island Lab because there are many people to trade with there. Trade with anyone then go outside and do the "Safari Zone" trick. (Go onto a Pokémon with surf and swim along half-land and half water, the shore.) Continue along the whole shore until you get in a battle. The screen will be black for about four seconds, then you will fight the Pokémon!! His name is MissingNo.(with a period). He is on Level 80 and his picture is a blur. It is hard to catch him, but it can be done. When you do catch him he does not appear on the pokedex though. Here are the following glitch effects which occur after catching him. After a while the music will change. If he is in your party, the picture of Ash will be flipped and the Pokémon will be messed up. Check the Pokémon league. It competely messes up everything. It shows Pokémon you never used, their levels over 200, and weird commands everywhere.
SEAFOAM ISLANDS Poké Cheat
- How to Catch any SAFARI ZONE Pokémon in the WILD! Go to area of SAFARI ZONE where the particular Pokémon you have your eyes on resides. (e.g., KANGASKHAN in 2nd of 4 sections next to starting section) Run around in that area until the time runs out Head straight to SEAFOAM ISLANDS and SURF just along the edge in the water (up and down on the coast) and SAFARI ZONE Pokémon from that particular area will attack! Master Ball Cheat: It Does Work - Using any Poké Ball, press up and B at the same time as soon as you see the ball flying toward the Pokémon. Let go of up and B when the Pokémon gets caught in the ball. The Poké Ball acts as a Master Ball only if the Poké Ball doesn't miss.
Easy Ditto Catch
- Put Magikarp at top of list and let Ditto transform into a Magikarp. Then switch Pokémon--Ditto is easy to fight and catch! Cheap Trick: Standing on top of trees - Cut down a bush stand on the spot where the bush is save and restart the game and you on top and stuck there. (Why do this?)
Better Chance Catching Safari Pokémon?
- When you throw a Safari Ball, the instant you see the ball materialize, start rotating the pad from the left in a counterclockwise motion at a semi-slow speed. I have been able to catch the most difficult Pokémon in the Safari Zone multiple times. It's not 100% effective, but it is in the 80% area, and the ones that escape the ball and run away, I usually catch the next Pokémon right away. I want to be sure this is a legitimate trick, so I call on everyone to try it on your GBs in the Safari Zone.
Walk Through Walls
- type 01a47ccf then goto a mart and but a thing called Nickname??? type in infinite money code 019947d3 to buy it. This item will allow you to go through walls. For example, goto fushia city, then goto the side of the cages of the pokemons that you can't catch. You hav to be facing down. Then goto item then select nickname. The screen for you to choose your pokemons will show up. Press B and exit the menu. Your pokemons and you should be at the left. go left one space. now press start, goto pokemon, then press b again and you should be on top of the wall. now press left to go in. when you want to get out, you hav to face down also and you hav to hav a space available under you. then do the same thing except if you want to get out at the right, just press right. this code can go through walls.
Copy Items
- 1.Fly to Viridian City 2.Talk to the old man at the top of the city and reply no 3.When he is done talking, move the item you want copyed to the 6th spot 4.Fly to Cinnabar Island and walk directly to the right then Surf 5.Surf up and down where it is half land and water 6.You should see weird Pokémon like Missingno. "m" and much more (If you are lucky, you might see Mewtwo at lv 141 or something) 7.Run away from the Missingno. or the "m" 8.Check your 6th item and there should be a weird symbol anda number. 9.Congrats you copyed some items.
How to get Chanlee
First you have to get 150 pokémon, then you have to beat the Elite 4 three times within 2 hours. Then talk to the leader of The Fighting Dojo ten times. Then he will say "I just crossbred my Hitmonchan and Hitmonlee, and I would like for you to have this certificate from me." Then go to Celadon City and go to the Hotel. Talk to the man behind the desk. He will say "Oh, that's a certificate for the new crossbred pokémon, Chanlee. Here is your Chanlee and say hi to Black Belt for me." Congrats you have Chanlee. Chanlee has Ice punch, Thunder punch, Fire kick, and Fissure kick. This pokémon can be raised to :L 200.
Secret Department in Vermilion City
First put these pokémon in order with you, Nidoran(f), Nidorina, Nidoqueen, Nidoran(m), Nidorino, and Nidoking. Talk to the man in Vermilion City who is planning on to build a house. Then he will say "Hey I'm really building a department pokémon store. Soon as I finish with this store, I will sell pokégods to you first." Then beat the Elite 4 one time with the Nidorans and fly back to Vermilion City and you will see the Pokémon Department Store built. Then enter and you will see him waiting there behind the desk and he will say, "Welcome to the Pokémon Department Store. Trade me Nidoqueen and Nidoking and I will evolve them into Nidogodess and Nidogod if you give me three Nuggets. This will take 10 minutes so walk around in this city and I will have your gods." After you have done so, he will say, "Here is your gods, come back again." Congrats you have Nidogodess and Nidogod.
How to get Venustoise
Only have Blastoise then Venusaur with you, make sure Venusaur knows cut and Blastoise knows surf. Fly to Cerulean City and talk to Misty 11 times because of TM11. Fly to Celadon City and talk to Erika 11 times and she will take your Blastoise and Venusaur and she will crossbreed them and you will get Venustoise with Cut, Surf, Megadrain, and Bubblebeam. Venustoise will start at :L 1 and it can learn Venusaur's and Blastoise's moves throughout training it. Congrats to you, you have Venustoise. Here are some codes for Pokémon without the use of the Gameshark.I haven't tested most of the codes so they may not work. I have a few Mew codes that might work for the U.S version. Some of these codes may erase your game so use at your own risk!!! All codes are for the American version. Please Don't e-mail me telling me these codes don't work!!!
Split experience
To Split experience, use the Pokémon you want to train with the top Pokémon on your list.Then when you go into battle the Pokémon will go out. You can then switch to another Pokémon. Once you win the battle the beginning Pokémon and the fighting Pokémon will both gain experience points.
Master Ball Code
When you throw a Great Ball, hold UP and B. This will make it like a Master Ball.
Pokémon No. 0
If you use one Japanese version and one American version to trade. Trade 3 times and the American version will get Pokemon No. 0. So there are actually 152 Pokemon. Pokemon No 0 is level 254, so he doesn't obey you at all even if you have Giovanni's Earth Badge.
Secret Coins in Game Corner
There are secret coins lying around in the Game Corner. You may pick them up by walking around and pressing the A button.
Catch Spearow and Nidorans near Viridian
In Viridian City, go left towards Victory Road. In the tall grass you can catch both of the Nidorans and a Spearow during this early part of the game. If you go upward you can also fight your rival before you go to Pewter.
Hidden Moonstone
In Mt. Moon before the Supernerd (you battled him to get a fossil, remember?) Look to your right, there should be a corridor (about 4-5 spaces long, and 1 space wide. Press the A button at the end and you will find a Moonstone!!!
Fight Safari Zone Pokémon on Seafoam
Here's a trick that allows you to fight Pokémon from one area of the game, to another area! Here's an example on how to do it: Go to the safari zone and battle for a while. Lets say, you can't catch a Tauros, fight one, then leave the Safari Zone. Later, go to Seafoam Island and swim up to the shore. Now, swim up and down the shore, where it looks like you're on the ground, but your swimming in the water, and you'll fight monsters from the Safari zone! No more rocks and bait!!
More attack power
Hold the A button while your attacking and it will do more damage than if you didn't hold A. Pokémon Clones
You need a friend for this and a Game link cable. Trade the Pokémon to be cloned and have you friend get a Pokémon they don't care about. Trade them, and make sure the person getting the bad Pokémon can see the other's screen. When the receiver of the good Pokémon's screen says "waiting", get ready to shut the other one off. When the waiting disappears, turn off the Game Boy that's getting the bad Pokémon. When the other one says trade completed, turn that one off too. When you turn the games back on, you should both have the Pokémon.
Get a rare Pokémon in the Unknown Dungeon
If you go to the spot where you found Mewtwo in the Unknown and press A a few times you can get a extremely rare Pokémon.
Surf into a statue
On the first of the elite 4, use surf and surf right at it.
The luckiest slot machine
The luckiest slot machine is the one above the boy with big glasses
Get mimic
at safron city go to the house with the girl that mimics people. bring a pokedoll with you . talk to her and you get the TM mimic
Get extra Tm's
In celadon city at the huge mart on the top floor there is a girl who says she is thirsty go to the machine and get one of eat drink give each one to her and she gives you a tm for every one
Get Mystero
fly to viridian talk to the guy that tells you how to catch pokemon then fly to cinnebar and surf on the east(right) side and instead of missingo you will find mystero he is totally diffrent than missingo
Stand on top of a bush
cut it down, stand on the spot where the bush was, and save your game. When you turn it on , you should be standing on a bush.
Catch EEVEE
MAKE SURE YOU HAVE A POKEMON WITH FLY AND SURF! Go fly to Cerulean City and go east.Then beat the team rocket guy in front of the house.After that keep going east and beat all the guys that are in your way.Then surf along the river and then you will see a building.Go into it and you will have a 5%-10% chance to catch EEVEE.This code will only work in the Red Version!!!!
Catch a gyrados
While in the hidden dungeon fish like 3 times at the spot where mewtwo is and you will find gyarados level 70!
Get Mew
You have to go and beat all 8 gym leaders, but NOT the elite four. you also CANNOT make any trades at that one place at cinnabar islands. go there trade all of the trades, but don't get your fossil ressurected. go and find missingo. then once you find him, catch him with a great ball. i repeat a GREAT BALL. after you catch him give him 100 waters and 1 sodapop and then talk to the name changer and and get you missingo's name changed into yukevitg. i don't know what it means but it works! it really does. your missingo will still be named missingo but have mew pokedex entry and his moves. you can change his name into mew though.
Get Mew
When you catch a Missingno. nickname it Mew and it will transform into a Mew!!!! you have to nickname it Mew when you catch it!!!! It won't delete your game.You can use it,but its not very good.
Infinite items
Okay, First go to the Guy in Viridian City who shows you how to catch pokémon. them fly over to Cinabar Island and surf on 50% water 50% land. It might not come the first time but keep surfing up and down until you see a MissingNo. now either beat or run from it and you will have a little mark beside your sixth item indicating that it's infinite.(Be sure to put a good item on number six in your item screen.Ex. Masterball, Rare Candy)
Gone Fishing
While in the hidden dungeon fish like 3 times at the spot where mewtwo is and you will find gyarados level 70!
Catch MissingNo.
First you have to catch a ponyta from the PokeMansion(Cinabar Island) Next you trade the professor in the third door of the Lab he will want a ponyta in exchange for a seel named Sailor .Do this. After that you teach Sailor,Surfand surf up and down the east side of Cinabar Island.You should get a black screen that lastes 3 to 4 sec. Missingno. will apear.Keep in mind we will always look ditorted because he is invincible and that their easy to kill so I suggest useing a L20-L30and useing an UltraBall WARNING there are 3 different types of Missingno. 1 is type 1 flying type 2 normal this is the only one that will not mess up your saved game after you save it.If you catch a different tyoe DO NOT KEEP HIM IN YOUR GAME!!! HE WILL MESS IT UP!!
Green Pikachu
you have to have gameboy color catch a pikachu and go to the name changer and nickname pikachu pikachan!
Easy Ditto
catch ditto easily by making him turn into magikarp.
High Level Pokémon
First fly to the city where the old guy would not let u pass till he got his coffie and talk to him say no for being in a rush and listen to him then fly to cinabar island and surf along the right coast till you find one at or over145. and u can use rare candies to get the pokemons power up but it only goes to 255 befor it gets to 0.
Master Ball Code
First go into battle,and throw a poke ball, great ball, or ultra ball. as soon as the ball leaves your hand, press and hold B and up. then as the ball snaps shut press and hold A while still holding B and up.
Fight Safari Zone Pokemon at Cinnabar Island
First make your way into the area of the Desired pokemon at Safari Zone, waste all your time there, fly to Cinnabar Island and surf on the right side of the gym. DON'T GO ANY FARTHER OUT THAN IT TAKES YOU!! Surf Up and down the Island and eventually Safari Zone Pokemon will apear.
Stronger Pokéball
If you hold down the A button as soon as the poke a ball closes it will shut tighter and most of the time catch the pokemon.
S.S. Anne Trick
Get HM 01 from the captain. Don't leave the ship, but fight a trainer. Lose and you will end up at a poke center. The S.S. Anne hasn't left yet.
Better Chances
better chance at slot machine-hold select Electrichu
To get Electrichu go to cinabar island and trade your raichu for electrode then fly to unknown dungeon and catch a level 64 raichu then fly back to cinabar and trade the man again then use a thunder stone on the electrode you just got.
Unlimited Money
Do the 99 of any item trick, then go to any pokemart sell 99 of that item and keep repeating it until you have the maximum amount of money. Repeat as often as necessary.
Pikablu
Get all 151 pokemon and go to MT.moon and there will be a pokeball with pikablu in it he will be at level 90.
Topegy And Pikablue
Teach Surf to Snorlax. Surf 20 times up and down the Half on land and Half on water part of the Safaria Zone you will find pikablu and a Togepy.
Chrona Mew
Mew can evolve into Chrona Mew. Go to the Seafoam Islands and use the Itemfinder to locate the Mist Stone. There is only one, and is very difficult to find.( I heard it's in the water in the cave)
Dragon Cave
After you have all 5 HMs, go to the secret house in the Safari Zone and he'll ask to see them. He'll open up his door and let you in a cave with ALL DRAGON POKEMON!!! You can fight and capture a L.100 UNIDENTIFIED DRAGON.
Bill's Mountian
Get all pokemon and beat the ELITE 4. Go to BILL and have your pokemon in this order- DRATINI DRAGONAIR DRAGONITE ZAPDOS ARTICUNO MOLTRESS he'll let you on his mountain.
THE FIFTH MOON STONE
Fly to Cinnibar go in the pokemon house go to the fifth collom from the top right press a button and it will say you found a moon stone. works 25% of the time.
Free Potion
Go to Viridian City and walk past the man who shows you how to catch a pokemon. There should be a bush. Go up to it, press A and you will get a potion!
Topegy
FIRST YOU GOT TO HAVE DRATINI,DRAGONAIR,DRAGONITE,CHANSEY,MEWTWO,ARTICUNO.IN THAT ORDER.GO TO LAVENDER TOWN AND TALK TO THE NAME RATER.CHANGE ALL POKEMON 'S NAMES TO THE FIRST 3 LETTERS OF THERE NAME,DRA=DRATINI,DRA=DRAGONAIR,DRA=DRAGONITE.Etc. GO TO CINNIBAR ISLAND AND ENTER THE POKE CENTER.NOW HEAL ALL POKEMON. (EVEN IF THEY DO NOT HAVE TO BE HEALED) .NOW HEAL ALL POKEMON AT ALL OTHER CITYS INCLUDING INDIGO PLATEAU.MAKE SURE INDIGO PLATEAU IS THE LAST HEALING POINT.NOW BEAT THE GAME.TRANSFER YOUR CHANSEY TO THE FIRST SPOT OF YOUR ACTIVE LIST.GO BACK TO NAME RATER.CHANGE CHANSEY TO FERTILE .IT WILL KNOW SAY CHANSEY IS LAYING ITS EGG.(ON ITS STOMACH).YOU WILL LOSE YOUR CHANSEY BUT YOU CAN ALL WAYS GET ANOTHER.
Mist Stone
To get the mist stone on gameshark type in 01a47ccf then go to seafoam island and use the item finder you got from prof. oak's aide.
Evolve Onix
You have to keep trading onix over and over to evolve hyim in to a onix with horns and wings
Get Mew (Again)
BUY AMAGIKARP FROM THE GUY AT THE POKEMONCENTER BY MT MOON. BUY IT AND GIVIT TO THE MAN AT THE DAYCARE CENTER.WAIT UNTILL IT IS ON LEVEL 50.GO BACK AND GET THE POKEMON.FIGHT ONCE AND HE WILL EVOLE INTO MEW! Cheater Pokémon
You run into several "cheater" pokémon over level 100 while trying the missingno cheat. we have discovered the cheater pokémon you encounter depend on what name you give yourself at the beginning of the game. Here are some we found out: Put your name as BIGPKMN!! and get cheater Charmeleons. Put your name as Knack and get cheater Porygons. Put your name as BIG DEV and get cheater Alakazams and Mewtwos! Put your name as Josh and get cheater Bulbasaurs.
Wizwar
Go get all the TMs in order.Then go to Saffron and talk to Mr. Psycic and he will give you WIZWAR.
Get Pikablue
1.have all 8 badges 2.DO NOT BEAT THE GAME 3.go to cruelen city in go surf in the water near unknown dungeon and use your itemfinder. 4.then you will find a pokeball with a note inside of it that says a strange pokemon apeared near cenibar island. 5.go to cenibar island and surf on the east coast and you will have a pikablue
